Markets - New York Stock Exchanges & Bahrain Stock Exchange (Equities traded must be NYSE, NASDAQ or BSE listed)

 
Capital - . Each team capitalized with $4,000,000
Each student assigned control of $500,000 for participation
 
Portfolio - Maximum stocks in portfolio at any point in time: 30
Minimum 10 trades per month
Maximum 200 trades during entire program
Each Portfolio Must contain at least 1 position in a Bahrain Stock Exchange listed company

 
Trading Volume - Maximum trades per day: 5 (after first trading week)

 
Reporting - Details of trades must be maintained as hard copy (from internet)
Trades & Portfolio must be registered on official Tradequest website
Copy of price source must be kept on file to support trades



Prices - From Virtual Stock Exchange site as recorded
No interday prices/trading

 
Record Keeping - Deal tickets must be produced and maintained for each trade.. Should summarize analysis, stategy expectation and reason for decision (buy or sell)
Initiated by analyst, approved by Team Leader.
Each deal ticket should be supported by print/copy from price source
(Qfn, Yahoo Quotes. etc)

Deal tickets and support must be kept for SEC confirmation and cross check.
Transaction Process Cost - $5.00 per deal ticket
Team Leader or designate must record each trade in Team portfolio on website



Performance
Monitoring and Reporting
Teams will develop and present initial strategy to IRC (max 20 minutes)
Each team will present monthly Performance Report to IRC (max 20 minutes)
Standard outline guides will be provided
Performance will be evaluated and rewarded based on:
* Analysis
* Strategy & Execution
* Financial Performance
* Adherence to limits and guidelines
* Teamwork
* Presentation
Bonuses will be "paid" based on overall assessment
IRC and economist will provide feedback on performance and compliance with strategy

 
Asset Allocation Each portfolio must contain an allocated mix of Cash, Bonds and Equities
Minimum of 5% in combination of Cash and/or Bonds
Minimum of 60% equities
No single stock > than 20% of portfolio value
Cash will earn interest at a fixed rate, set each month by the economist
Equities performance will be at market. (NYSE/BSE)(Virtual Stock Exchange)

Trading Teams. Eight students each, Team Leader designated by academic advisor
Teamwork is critical and must be fostered.
Competition is important, but learning is more important.

 
Trading Team CEO/Advisors Assigned to each team.
Should try to meet with team at least once every. Minimum one hour
